A graduate of Central St. Martin’s School of Art Samson Soboye became a successful fashion stylist working internationally for five years on editorial, music video, advertising and catwalk styling. This work involved often making props; costume and sometimes setdressing which Samson thoroughly enjoyed and inspired his love for fabric, colour and tactile textures. He began making commissioned pieces. This led to more commissions and increased interest.

Samson decided to focus on this interest and in 1999 he launched his eponymous label of desirable soft furnishings, which were immediately snapped up by leading stores and high profile clients. Editorial coverage in key publications soon followed thus strengthening the brand and establishing Samson Soboye as one of the leading designers of soft furnishings. His client list includes Matthew Williamson, Julian McDonald, Meg Gallagher, Pasty Kensit and Joanna Lumley.

Development and expansion of the range continued and at the end of 2002 Samson Soboye joined forces with Women’s wear Designer E-Sinn Soong and opened soboye soong. Their Shoreditch based boutique now houses both their entire collections which complement each other perfectly and includes Samson’s collections of fashion accessories(bags, purses, scarves and belts) as well his cushions and throws.
